This past week was one of the best weeks, one of the most craziest weeks and busiest weeks.
first off tuesday we got to do baptisms for the dead with our recent converts. Jose who was baptized oct 24 and then a month later he got to go! and amalia she got baptized a year ago, it was a very spiritually exppirence for her because we helped her bring in names, she brought her daughters name, her brothers and her dads name to the temple. Literally being a missionaries is the best!!
We had something called the Gala. a social gathering of different faiths that come to build relationships especially with in the church, so that way further along it will be easier for missionaries to get visas.. kinda a big deal! it was very fancy it was held at the visitor center we had elders out side helping with parking. we had the sister missionaries inside kinda catering, hermana siete and I were the door greeters, it was so amazing seeing so many different people from around the world with lots of different faiths, budists, methodists, catholics, priests, jehova witnesses, baptists, and others members of the city council. they came and they ate a fancy dinner with martinellis. They came and we had some people come and sing Savannah and Matt they are a dad and daughter duo from kaysville UT. they sang both nights and they let us missionaries listen and watch it was amazing!! the gala was a two day event. it was fun to dress nice and wear makeup with all the VC sisters.
and then friday and saturday our mission put on a musical program! where missionaries volunteered to sing and play instuments, at first it was just for the missionaries then we invited wards! other missions, and made it broadcasted on zoom. it was a very spiritual event they had it in spanish the first night and english the second night. the spanish night one of my childhood best friends came to the VC marina Rivera she is currently serving in the anaheim mission and she brought members and friends they were teaching.
our area suffered a little bit this week. we did see miracles, but we only had one area day this past week. and also other news!! its transfer 8! I am going to be training a new missionary! I will meet her tomorrow.
Miracle..
a while back a familiy came into the VC and one of the members wasn't a member. he later told us that he isnt a member and that he has the missionaries at their house alot but that he would always hide in his room. and that hna siete and I were the first missionaries that he has talked to, and that he said that he felt very welcomed and that missionaries aren't just robots. we invited him to not hide from the missionaries. this was the beginning if the transfer, and at the christmas musical program he was there with two elders! and he told us he was on bap date!!
There's going to be so many pictures
