April 25

 Miracles.

Hola a todos!!
This week was pretty busy! The highlights of this week is we set a baptismal date with our friend Pia!! We are so excited for her and can't wait for her to get baptized! Keep her in your prayers! Our friend Lester is amazing we had a member in the ward drive him to church. It was his first time in person. The ward was so supportive and all made him feel welcome! Made me so happy. Also on Sunday a member made us personalized jerseys that days BOM squad and missionary on the back.  So that was funny.
Saturday was the busiest day that we ever had at the VC so far. We were at the VC 8am-9:45pm we had scheduled tours the entire day!! It was crazy because we had in person and virtual. So while we were having in person tour I would be setting up the pod thing for tours.
One of our favorite tours on Saturday was thus man that we have a tour a while back virtually he came and gave us a huge box of pastries from Guatemala called quesadillas.
In Friday one of the members bought us Hawaiian BBQ! It was the best food ever.
It was a great week overall. Can't believe this transfer is almost over.

Hope you all have a great week! Love you all!!

 Hola a todos!!

I don't have much time but this week was pretty awesome! Super busy!! Had my first MLC meeting in person! Which means I got to see sister Torkornoo in person!!! Because she's also an STL. Which that was amazing! This week basically the whole mission got the first dose of the covid vaccine! Things are starting to look up! We have been very busy at the VC. I had to give two tours by my self this week. One was with 18 people. Im slowly buy surly getting more confident with tours, and with teaching in general. I also got to see my teacher from the CCM sister Wilcox! Sister Wilcox was my teacher for my week training for the VC. So we got to give her a tour!   More photos! Also we went to science museum for p-day! The first time being in a building besides church, the VC and our apartment.

Also this past week Hermana Siete and I had our first lesson in someone's house!! Her name is ligia. It was nice not having a lesson over the phone.

Lots of miracles this week.
Hope you are all staying safe love you all!!

April 12: First baptismal date??

 Hola todos!!

I decided that I'll try to send a better weekly email this week. I haven't been very good in the past. Mostly because my emails are over the phone, so I get lazy sometimes. But also p-days have just been more busy. But this last week was crazy good!! For example we had our first zone conference in person!!! The majority of the Spanish missionaries are elders, I didn't realize until we had the meeting in person. We got the news that starting next week missionaries can start getting the covid vaccine! In July there is also news that's lots of covid restrictions will be lifted!!

We had an adorable tour Thursday. This mom came in with her son and her mom. She talked about her mission and she has been trying to get her mom to convert but her mom is very catholic. She said it was a miracle that her even stepped foot into the visitor center.

Thursday was also amazing. Our friend Pia (that I've been teaching since my first transfer. ) we finished the plan of salvation with her and the spirit was so strong we asked her if she wanted to get baptized and she said yes!!! We were all crying and so excited we told her we were excited and she said "me too!"

Also sunday (yesterday) was a crazy day. I'll probably never forget it. We went to the VC to give a tour to our friend Lester. Which I'm so very thankful for my ward that I'm in. Our members are amazing. One of the members Omer and his family drove all the way to pick up Lester and to visitor center just so that he could have a tour. Because Lester doesn't have a car. And the tour was amazing, before he was having doubts about the book of mormon but today he told us that his goal is to get baptized!! And Omer said that we would be willing to drive him to church on Sundays.

Later that Sunday we had two of our friends come Mari and Yolanda! They are sisters and Mari brought her son Jacob, he is 11 years old. which it was his idea to come, apparently in past lessons  Jacob was sitting in the back (out of view of camera) listening to the lessons!! The tour was so amazing the family opened up and we gave Jacob a book of mormon! So special.

Sunday I also had a not so good experience. During the tour with Yolanda, Mari and Jacob we had three people come in that only spoke Spanish. Hermana Siete and I are the only sisters that speak Spanish so they had us split up. So I had to give a tour by myself!!! It was the strangest experience. It was a husband and a wife that were recently converts and wife's mom was very catholic. They came in just to ask me lots of questions. Which I didn't completely understand everything that was being said. She started calling me names that I didn't know in Spanish. I did the best I could answer her questions, though I don't think that they were  Sincere questions. The recent converts brought her to me cause since I'm a missionary I should be able to know where everything is in the Bible. Definitely wasn't my favorite experience but I realized after that there were times I didn't understand but God put the words in my mouth what to say. There were things that I said that I don't remember.
They said that it's very common in the visitor center that you and companion get separated and gave to give tours by yourself.  So pray for me
Anyways love you all sorry if this seems rushed

April 4, 2021

Last week was crazy but good! We had to say goodbye to my trainer Hermana Pirela. Last week it was Hermana Siete and I first week without Hermana Pirela. We had more in person tours!!

General conference was sooo good. Definitely received personal revelation for our friends.
For General conference we surprised the elders with an Easter egg hunt. They loved it!!
What was your favorite talk?  I loved the one from the prophet and
I want to remind you about an invitation the prophet gave about getting rid of debris I your life. To pray about debris you need to get rid of.
Also this week we got to give a tour to one of my friends serving in Florida! Which was pretty fun!

Hope you all had an amazing Easter! Stay safe!!

March 29: STL (Sister Training Leader)

This will be a quick email. For transfers are today and we have to clean and pack. We say goodbye to hermana Pirela tomorrow. This week was very busy. With having lots of tours.

For my second transfer I have been called a STL! Sister training leader, even though I'm technically still in training until I've out here for 12 weeks, so this will be a challenge. But im putting full faith in the lord.

We are also starting this week going to have private tours in person!! And still virtual tours!! Which hermana siete and I have only given one in person. We will be the only spanish sisters so we will have to be at the VC 9am-9pm tue, Thurs, and Saturdays. And most likely other days of the week.

Random things that happened this week
We have a rat or something in the attic and it's very loud and scary. But it's fine we've made it normal. We named it cookie.
-Also this week Boba exploded on me.
- I wore my tag on the back of my dress to the VC (are you surprised? I'm not )

This week we really have been focusing on inviting all our friends to general conference. The recent video from the prophet is really amazing! I really encourage everyone tune into conference this weekend, and to also prepare this week by praying, pray with a more open and  Sincere heart. To read your scriptures daily, I promise general conference will answer your prayers by doing so.
