This last week was pretty great! Monday was fun we went to a Korean BBQ place with a member in our ward Pablo and the elders in our ward.

Hermana Siete and I have been biking way more. One day we biked more than 8 miles. We had to bike to church yesterday because we were having troubles with the gate. And we went to church... really ruined my dress... our hair was another thing and then an Hermano asked us to speak in church. Just our luck haha.

We still can't knock on doors but we have been doing more street contacting. Which has been fun. We have been finding more that way.

We also went to a restaurant with our friend Pia. She works at this restaurant and she's been dying to take us. It was so fun. First restaurant that Hermana Siete and I have been to.

Hope everyone is staying safe. I can't believe it is basically June. Hope everyone is excited for summer!

 Hola a todos!!

We had zone conference this last week. It was super amazing! It was the first zone conference we didn't have to wear masks because we were all vaccinated. I guess starting in two weeks our ward won't have to wear masks anymore. How exciting!!!

This last week was probably one of the craziest weeks of my mission. One of the biggest miracles happened this past week too. Last month we but our friend Ligia on date to get baptized for may 23rd. She is truly amazing she has a strong testimony that the church of Jesus christ of latter day saints is the true church. She is 80 years old, she is incredibly smart and knows alot about the gospel and about worldly things too. There is always the saying that before a baptism everything goes wrong. And I didn't think that we would have many problems.. but last sunday ligia met our bishop, and there was a misunderstanding. And ligia didn't seem to like the bishop and she said she no longer wanted to baptized in our ward. This really threw hermana siete and I off. We didn't know what to do. We went to our zone leaders. We decided to fast as a district. So that the next day we could have a lesson with her, and try to have her meet the bishop. The ZLs came with us to her house to have a lesson. It was very spiritual lesson. We talked to her about why she wants to get baptized. And she agreed to meet with bishop again!!! What a miracle! This really strengthed my testimony about fasting. So the next day she met with bishop also a very spiritual experience. And she decided to get baptized!! So yesterday we had her baptism. It all went very smoothly. Her family came and some members from the ward came. Ligia shared her testimony which was very powerful.

We got another companionship of Spanish VC sisters this transfer.. and guess what?? Its our roommates! Hermana Romney and Hermana Romero. We share a car so you know what that meant? More biking!! Hemana Siete and I have been biking more.
This last week Hermana Siete and I haven't really been companions during the visitor center because we have been training all week to our roommates jaja.

We have a baptism for ligia this Sunday!! Keep her in your prayers because the  Adversary is really good at causing problems the week before. It will be the first baptism my ward has had this year! We had ti the clean the fount Friday that was pretty nasty 😳.

I gave a tour to a bunch of service missionaries. They were all so amazing. They are also on the spectrum I've never seen such an inspiring group of missionaries. On of them elder Felix is a recent convert and he was going to do baptism for the dead for the first time. So the whole tour he carried around his temple recommend. It was a very  spiritual tour. (Hermana siete was in another tour)

This Sunday was the first Sunday they are no longer having zoom church!!! So our whole ward was there!! I forgot what it's like to have crying kids at church, I actually missed it. I didn't realize how big my ward was until yesterday.

May 10

This last week was pretty crazy. I hope you all celebrated mother's day. Make sure you have all told your moms you love them.

On Saturday we had MCL. It's a meeting with al the leaders. (ZLs and STL and president) and we drove al the way to the mission office. And I left my mission tag at home!!! I ended up borrowing my directors plaque and wore my comps jacket to cover up the last name. The mission hasn't changed me yet apparently because I use to do that all time with my badge when I worked in the hospital jaja I was hoping I'd get out of that habit.

We got the second vaccine this week. Nothing crazy happened. The next day hermana siete and I were so tired the next day. We ended up taking a nap during lunch. We were fortunate no not have gotten sick.

We have another baptismal date!! For the 23rd of this month. Her name is Ligia. Pray that all goes well. And our second bap date Pia keep her in your prayers too.

We had lots of miracles this week!! One main miracle would be on Sunday we had 8 of our friends come to church!! 5 of them in person! It was amazing. It was a bit overwhelming trying to make them all feel welcomed plus it was mother's day so Hermana siete and I had a bunch of gifts to give.  Our friend Lester doesn't have a car but he came all the way to church on his skate board. It was amazing.

We have transfers this week. Hermana siete and I are staying together!! Which we are pretty happy about. Considering we have two baptismal dates.

We have been working lots with members.
Which has been fun and very rewarding

April 31

This last week was yet another busy week. Hopefully this coming up transfer we will get another spanish VC sisters. Saturday I only gave one tour with my companion because it was so busy.

I wanted to share one really cool experience that I had tuesday. On tuesday this man came to the VC without an appointment. He rode up on his bike and so my companion and I let him in. He said that he bought a new bike the day before just so that he could come to the temple. He rode his bike for 45 min to come to the temple. He told us that he was a convert to the church, that we was baptized in 2000, but he hasn't gone to church since. That him coming to the VC was the first time in 21 years since speaking to any members. So my companion and I were the first members to talk to him in 21 years. He told he hasn't gone to church because his parents said that they would disown him if he went to church. He said that he really missed the love of God. He had a testimony of Joseph Smith. He couldn't stop telling us how welcomed he felt. That he said that he really appreciated us. We showed him around the VC, we watched videos. He told us about how hard his life has been, he was even homeless for a while but he decided to make a change. He is now going to meet with the missionaries and go back back church. He told us he lost his quad, so of course we wanted to give him scriptures.but we didn't want him to have to ride all way back to his home balancing scriptures. so after hermana siete and I finished all our tours we drive to his house and gave him some new ones. He was really grateful.

That experience really strengthened my testimony.

Also yesterday I shared my testimony during fast Sunday. (In spanish, and in person) that was very scary for me. But I did it!! (My first time on my mission)

Photos last week:
